Frequently Asked Questions
We have attempted to answer some of the questions we get asked about our services – please do get in touch if you have any further queries!
What does my child need to bring to a Winning Start Holiday Camp?
On all courses, your child needs to be dressed in comfortable clothing and suitable for their chosen sport. We do always suggest bringing a waterproof jacket – just in case of the odd unwanted shower. Your child will also need a packed lunch, and plenty to drink.
Does my child need to bring their own sports equipment?
Winning Start provides all necessary sporting equipment. However, if your child would like to bring their own items, please ensure they are clearly named to avoid any confusion.
My child has never played cricket before, would they still enjoy the Winning Start Cricket Camps?
Absolutely! Our coaches will organise plenty of different drills and games, for all abilities. Our camps are an ideal introduction for children who have never played cricket before.
We’ve booked in for a Winning Start Cricket Camp – what happens if it rains?
We have never had to cancel a Cricket Camp because of bad weather – something we are very proud of. We have even played cricket in the snow! In the event of a very heavy shower, we do have access to the Pavilion for shelter. Our coaches have lots of games and quizzes up their sleeve in case of a real downpour – allowing children to learn more about the laws of the game and current international players.
